Life with Purpose

1. Introduction:

· Christmas = The celebration of Christ – The Anointed one of God.

· Christmas – Christian substitute for pagan festival held on December 25 – to celebrate the unconquered sun.

· Christmas – Time of family; celebration; giving; holding secular.

· Christmas – Time of supernatural visitation – Heave came to earth.

- God came to earth to dwell in a person Jesus Christ.

2. Be Prepared to Make Changes.

· Deuteronomy 2:3 - Go around the mountain long enough – change!

· Mountain = place of defeat, failure.

· Gone around = avoid, go around in circles, no real progression.

· Turn = Must make changes.

· No change until it become specific – what will you do?

3. Today’s choices determines tomorrows blessings.

· You were made with the capacity of choice.

· Deuteronomy 30:19 - Life and Death.

· Life doesn’t just happen – it involves choices.

· Bad choices – bad consequences.

· There’s a tenancy to stay where you feel comfortable.

4. Take Responsibility to Initiate Changes.

· Deuteronomy 2:24 - Rise up – take journey.

· Don’t blame others for actions.

· Genesis 3 / 1 Samuel 15

· Responsible for actions / attitude / reaction.

5. Prepare for Conflict when decide to Change.

· Deuteronomy 2:24-25 - Begin to possess – contend.

· Sihon

· Amorite

· Heshbon

· Change attitudes by meditating in the Word of God.

6. Obedience .

· Deuteronomy 2:32-36 - Jahaz = separation / place of obedience.

7. Invest in relationships.

· God - People which inspire you - Listen

· Spouse - People you can influence - Honor

· Family - People you can disciple - Generation influence

8. Pay the Price for Relationships.

What do you want to build / grow / cultivate?

What changes do you need to make?

What difficult position do you need to participate in?
