1.  Introduction

• Ps8:3-6.  You have made him to have dominion, are the works of your hands

· We are created by God in His image and likeness

· He has made us a little lower than angels = Elo him = god himself

· You are designed and destined for dominion.

• Dominion = 7287 = to prevail over, to rule over, exercise authority on behalf of God.
• Inbuilt into every person – desire to face challenges and conquer.

· Genesis1:28.  Subdue it and have dominion.

· The original divine mandate to Adam.

· Subdue = 3533 To overpower resistance and opposition

· You are designed for dominion, to govern and rule on behalf of God

• Examples

· Project Fulfilled – great sense of fulfilment

· Olympic Games – emotions stirred when you see our nation win!

· Movie – Forest Gump – emotions stirred as he triumphs over handicap

· Movie – Very Long Engagement – emotions stirred as Love triumphs

• You are not a victim – you are designed to Win in Life.

2.  Gods Plan is For You to Win in Life

(a)  Called to Win over sin and death

1 Cor15:57.  Thanks be to God which gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

· Victory = 3534 Nikos = conquest, success, gain superiority in a contest

· Sin has impacted every person who entered the world

· Consequences of sin is death – separation from life with God

· Death one battle no person can win over or conquer

· God gave us the victory = something received be believing

· Death not the end for a person with faith in Christ.

· Power of sin broken by Christ – don’t have to live in sin/defeat

(b)  Called to Win over adversity

Rom 8:37.  No- in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

· Great list of adversities – issues of Life

Condemnation	Distress	Famine	Persecution
Peril	Tribulation	Nakedness	Sword

• More than conquerors = 5145  hupernikao = to totally vanquish

                                                                           = to gain decisive victory

• Whatever situation You can Win

Phil 4:13.  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

· Whatever situation we face we can overcome and win victory.

· Can Do = 2480 = ischno =m to prevail, gain victory, exercise force

· We are a “Can Do” people not a “cannot” people

· Whatever God calls us to do – we can do it through Christ.

· Eg. Num 13:30 – We are well able to overcome it.

3. The Key to Winning (Having Dominion) = Through Christ.

• Note the references

-     1Cor 15:57.  Through our Lord Jesus Christ

-     Rom 8:37.  Through Him who loves us.

-     Phil 4:13.  Through Christ who strengthens me.

• “Through” = 1223 Dia = the channel through which something happens

                                           = the instrument needed to get the job done

• Not by “trying hard” – by “performing” – by own ability
• Key – Receiving and manifesting the Life of Christ

              - By depending on the power and Life of another.

· Christ who strengthens me: 1743 Endunama

                  = to empower, to increase strength, to give prevailing ability

· Eph 3:16.  strengthened with might in inner man by His Holy Spirit

Strengthened = 2901 = to be given dominion, power to win

Might = 1411 = miracle power, prevailing ability of the Holy Spirit.

· Key to Dominion – receiving the Life of Christ - man full of power of God

                                                                                         - man who overcomes.                                                                                                        Jn16:33  Rev 1:18

· The source of that Power is the Holy Spirit

· That Power is imparted to you innerman

· That Power is received by believing not struggling

· Does that mean we will not fail? – NO!

Means that in whatever situation, we can arise and win.
